Buying based on how many panels you’re getting, without checking their power rating, is like buying 40-watt bulbs when you really need 100s.
Not all panels are created equal. A high-efficiency panel might generate 550W, while a cheaper one might only deliver 440W. So 10 panels could mean 5.5kW—or just 4.4kW. That’s a big difference in performance.
If you’ve only got so much roof, it makes sense to get the most power per square metre. Cramming in more low-output panels could leave you with less energy overall.
The number of panels is the outcome of smart system design—not the starting point. What really matters is how much energy your system will generate day to day.

Panel efficiency
Long-term performance and warranties
