We can often find your MPAN number from the National Grid’s online database but sometimes it’s not obvious which is yours and we need to ask you to find it on your bill.
What’s an MPAN?
Your MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number) is a unique reference for your electricity supply. It’s how energy companies know exactly which meter belongs to your property. Think of it like an energy postcode – specific to your home or business.
Where to Find It
You’ll find your MPAN number on your electricity bill. It’s usually called a “Supply Number” and looks like this:

We’re interested in the bottom row of numbers – the long 13-digit code. That’s your MPAN.
Quick Tips:
Check your electricity bill (not gas)
Look for a box marked “Supply Number” or the large “S”
The number often appears at the bottom of the first page, or near your meter details
Still unsure? Just send us a photo of your bill – we’ll help you spot it.
